Welcome to the February DeNami Blog Hop. This month's theme features DeNami's famous chickies.
You should have arrived here from the blog of Lani Misner. If you get lost along the way, jump back to the DeNami blog and you can find the link to the spot you are looking for. Here are the details of the hop:

When: The blog hop starts onFebruary 12 at 6 AM, PST. However, you have until February 13, 2012, 11:59 pm PST, to leave comments on all the blogs (to be eligible for a prize).

Why: To be inspired by fun DeNami Design creations and also the chance to win mini shopping sprees on the DeNami Design website!

Prizes: DeNami is giving away TWO gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop!

For this hop I took a cute idea from Pinterest for a small valentine's day gift for my coworkers. Inside the package is a cherry lollipop. It's a quick and easy project.

To make these cute lollipop holders, cut the base red cardstock 2 1/4 inches by 6 1/2 inches and score at the 2 1/2 and 4 inch marks. Fold on the score marks. I tried various ways to adhere the paper around the pop but found that scoretape worked best. The chickie with a heart balloon is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink then colored with Copic markers (Y11, Y15, YR04 and R29). The chickie is topped with yellow Stickles and the balloon is covered with crystal laquer and some red gems are adhered to the circle. The edges are distressed with Walnut Stain distress ink. White ribbon is tied around the pop stick.

I'll be finishing up the 20 little valentine's day gifts on Sunday while hopping through the blogs. Please leave me a message and let me know what you think.

Michele Gross is the next artist in the hop. Head over to her blog and enjoy all of the ideas you'll see along the way.

  11. Such a cute idea. I use this stamp all the time, so love seeing it used in different ways. I often tuck one of those small helium heart balloons in with Hubby's Valentine's gift...but I think making a similar holder might just be the ticket this year! =)

  27. Hi Annette, thanks for stopping by my blog! You asked where I got the lace tape... Last year I bought it in off-white, light celery, and pale pink from my favorite local scrapbook store, Paper Vineyard. I went back in to buy another roll of the cream, and they no longer carry it!
